President - spencer morrison

Spencer Morrison, Board President, municipal accountant, elected Yuba City treasurer, Sutter County native from Pleasant Grove, California, living in Yuba City for 15 years, has hosted four groups of students - four girls and four boys - and one adult woman from Toride between 2012 and present. He joined the board in 2017 after his visit to Toride City with the association. Spencer’s son and daughter have both been on the Toride City visit and he hopes to get his wife there soon. Spencer is also the board president for the Middle Mountain Interpretive Hikes organization and serves as a treasurer for the Sutter Buttes Regional Land Trust. His inspirational quote is: “A frog in a well knows nothing of the ocean,” which sums up the purpose of this program.

Vice-President, Education and Student Exchange - Linda Cohee

Linda Cohee is a founding delegation member of the Yuba City Sister City Association created thirty years ago. She and her family members have provided three generations of international exchange between Yuba City and Toride City, Japan. Linda is a retired Principal and Administrator of the Yuba City Unified School District and Yuba Environmental Science Charter Academy. She is currently a Sutter County Superintendent of Schools Administrative Coach and owner of Home Again Farm in Browns Valley.

A Yuba City teacher and mother of three, Chris West has been a valuable supporter of the Yuba City Sister City Association since 2012. Chris and her family have hosted students and adults and she took her adult children to Toride City in 2017, serving as the Yuba City school chaperone. Chris and her husband, Doug, have been very creative by arranging unique and special Toride City delegation experiences in Sacramento and Chico.

Board Member - Erika Stedman

Erika Stedman is an Administrative Services Officer with the County of Yuba. She and her family have called Yuba City home for the last 18 years. Erika joined the board in 2019 after her son Dylan visited Toride City and fell in love with the people and culture. She and her family look forward to the future of the association and the opportunities to not only visit Toride City, but also host students. Erika is also past president of the Riverbend School P.T.O.
