An experience for the whole family.

Hosting students from Japan is educational and rewarding. Each year, approximately 20 student delegates arrive during the last week of October—they love our Halloween tradition—and stay for six nights. During this time, the students join all family activities, eating what you eat, going where you go, playing what you play, all the while forming a friendship bond surprisingly fast that can last into their, and your children’s adulthood. Our experience is that the children of this delegation are perennially exceptional and come often well-traveled enough to have had experience with Western customs, furniture, toilets and showers, flatware, and many will speak some English and read even more. Many host parents are surprised by their own tears when placing their Toride City student on the bus to begin their trip home; even after such a short visit.
